Once recovered from a corneal ulcer due to contact lens over-wear as a sophomore at Franklin Community High School, Dr. Amanda Dininger knew she wanted to become an optometrist. After graduating Cumma Sum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Saint Joseph’s College in 2006, Dr. Dininger went on to attend Indiana University School of Optometry, graduating in 2010. She started working at a private practice in Greenwood prior to it merging with a larger chain in 2016. After working corporate optometry for two years, Dr. Dininger decided it was time to fulfill her dream of being a business owner and open Blue Iris Optometry in December 2018.
Having been raised in Franklin, Dr. Dininger knew that the evolving small town atmosphere would be a great fit for her private practice. She loves seeing kids, watching young ones grow into adults, and treating multiple generations within the same family.
Dr. Dininger is married to John (JD) and together they have three kids, Morgan (16), Luke (11), and Mollie (9). As a family, they enjoy relaxing at home when time allows, traveling, and watching sporting events, especially the Green Bay Packers, the Purdue Boilermakers, and the IndyCar Series.
