Founded in 2018 by Dr. Amanda Dininger, Blue Iris Optometry is a full service eye clinic offering comprehensive exams, contact lens fittings, and disease management such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eye, cataracts, and diabetes. We see patients of all ages and love developing long term relationships with them. Conveniently located along 31 in the heart of Franklin, Blue Iris Optometry looks forward to serving your needs today!
The story behind our name is quite unique! Once Dr. Dininger set the goal of being a private optometry business owner, she knew she would have to stand out from others. Lots of research and reading was completed prior to opening, including reading The Magnolia Story by Chip and Joanna Gaines. Inspired by their Magnolia brand, Dr. Dininger, along with her husband, started researching what different trees and flowers represented. Once they learned the blue iris flower represented faith, they were sold, knowing that to start a business from scratch would require a whole lot of faith. Thus, Blue Iris Optometry was formed!
